We are Alice and Rob, and we get to lead this incredible community of people at Futures Church. We have two incredible kids, love family, sport and having fun and have a genuine belief that church can be one of the best things in your life.

We want our church to feel like a family, a place where people from every background and stage of life have decided to do life and faith together.

We don't pretend to have everything figured out. But we know the One who does. And every Sunday, we gather around that. So join us. Grab a coffee. Let someone show you around.

Yr 6 Leadership Academy- Mount Barker

Year 6 – Junior Leadership Academy As your child enters their final year of Futures Kids, they have the opportunity to join our Year 6 Junior Leadership Academy - a year of intentional discipleship and leadership development designed to prepare them for Youth. While participation is not compulsory, it’s a fantastic opportunity for students who are ready to grow in their faith, discover their God-given purpose, develop leadership skills, and build lasting friendships. They will participate in four, fortnightly sessions beginning on the 2nd August. Throughout the Academy, students will: Grow in their understanding of God’s Word. Learn to recognise and respond to the Holy Spirit. Discover their God-given gifts and strengths. Develop Christ-like character and leadership skills. Be mentored by experienced leaders. Take part in practical leadership experiences. Prepare for a confident transition into Youth. Program Details Who: Year 6 Students When: Sundays fortnightly straight after the service, kids will be collected from kids' rooms at 11:15 by an allocated leader. Each fortnightly session will go for approximately 40-45 minutes. Commences: Sunday 2 August Location: TBC Student Commitment Students are asked to: Attend regularly (80% attendance is encouraged). Bring their Leadership Academy workbook and Bible each week. Participate with a positive attitude. Complete simple weekly leadership challenges. Participate in Leadership in Practice during Term 4. Parent Partnership The Academy is most effective when church and homework together. We ask parents to encourage consistent attendance, help students bring their workbook and Bible each week, discuss what they’re learning at home, and communicate with our team if they’re unable to attend. We believe God has placed incredible purpose and potential within every child, and we’re excited to invest in the next generation of Christ-centred leaders.

We really do believe that opening up our lives + homes and doing life together beyond a Sunday is so important! We currently have a number of Connect Groups running across the South of Adelaide for every age and stage. Some meet fortnightly, monthly, on weekends and during weeknights. They vary from have great food together, meeting in homes or parks or at Church, and can include opportunities for prayer, testimonies and Biblical / Themed Studies - what ever you prefer. MOUNT BARKER - Water Baptism (Register Your Interest)

Water baptism is a public declaration of your decision to follow Jesus. We believe it's an important step to take, that shows your old life is gone and signifies the new life that you have in Jesus Christ. It is the next most important decision in their journey to follow Jesus. Do you know the only prerequisite for being baptised is to believe? We would love to help you as you and your family take this next important step in following Jesus. We would love to invite you and your child/children to our Kids Water Baptism class to meet pastor Jane. She will walk us through the baptism service and will be able to answer any further questions. How do I know that my child is spiritually ready to be baptised? What to expect at Mount Barker.

Futures Church Mt Barker is a welcoming community made up of everyday people from all different backgrounds and stages of life. It’s the kind of place where people can make real connections, find support, and feel like they belong without needing to have everything figured out. There’s a relaxed and genuine atmosphere, with families, young people, couples, tradies, business owners, and retirees all doing life together. The church is passionate about making a positive difference in the Adelaide Hills through strong community involvement, programs for kids and teenagers, and creating spaces where people can grow and build healthy relationships. Whether someone has been around church their whole life or has never stepped into one before, Futures Church Mt Barker wants people to feel comfortable, included, and at home. As a Church we also have a strong commitment to our local community through Futures Care. One of our great intiatives is Love out Loud which happens every fortnight and is a place for people to come and enjoy a cooked lunch with others and also receive a food hamper and other items that may help in seasons of need.

Futures Church is a pentecostal church in the Adelaide Hills that is “a home for everyone,” offering great Sunday services, kids & youth programs, worship, & community connection for all ages.

What makes Futures Church Mt Barker special is the genuine sense of community and family people experience when they walk through the doors. We’re a relaxed, authentic church where people know each other by name, genuinely care for one another, and love doing life together beyond just Sunday services.
One of the first things you will notice in our Campus is that we are filled with every generation doing life together and there is joy and laughter as people come together.
We have a strong sense of community and this overflows into the wider community with our care arm - Futures Care - having a strong footprint in the community. We run a Love out Loud program that provides food hampers and hot lunches to people in our community that for whatever reason need some support.
Our Church truly is a place for everyone to grow and be celebrated.

Kids · Mount Barker

Bring the kids. They'll love it.

We believe investing in kids is one of the most important things we can do. Futures Kids runs in every Sunday service and is a fun-filled, safe environment where children build real friendships with each other and with God. We have programs that are age and stage-appropriate, catering to children aged 1 through to Grade 6 at school. Our programs include praise and worship, Bible teaching, stories, crafts, games, and loads of fun. Our team of dedicated, trained leaders genuinely love kids and are passionate about partnering with families to build the faith of their children. It is our hope that your children will form a genuine relationship with God from a young age. We want kids to love Church, love God and find a place where they too can belong, grow and contribute.

Check-in & safety

Our trained Kids Church team is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and caring environment for every child. All children are signed into their program by a parent/guardian before the service using a secure check-in system and are then are collected after the service using the same system. All volunteers hold current Working With Children Checks, and a parents' room is available for younger children and babies during the service if needed.

Youth

Dreamers Youth is the place for every high school student at Futures Church, and it's one of the highlights of a young persons week. Meeting every Friday night during the school term, Dreamers is a vibrant, fun and faith-building community where young people come to connect, belong, and encounter God together. Dreamers Youth exists to see every young person know who they are in God, build friendships that go the distance, and step into everything He has called them to be.

Sisterhood

bU is the women's ministry at Futures Church. A place where women come to laugh, to be honest, to encounter God, and to find the kind of community that makes life feel lighter. This happens through various gatherings, events throughout the year and our annual bU Conference.

Young Adults

Young Adults at Futures Church is a community for 18–29 year olds that meets fortnightly in Connect Groups as well as at other times for social gatherings and events. It’s designed to help young adults build real friendships, find belonging, and grow in faith in a relaxed, down-to-earth way. The focus is connection, community, and doing life together rather than formal programs or traditional church settings.

Prayer is a vital part of the life of our church. Every week we gather together to pray for people, families, our Church and our community. We believe prayer changes lives, strengthens faith, and keeps our church centred on Jesus.

From the moment you arrive at Futures Church our welcome team will meet you at the door, greet you and make sure you actually feel at home. There's a free coffee waiting, a gift to take away, and real people who are genuinely glad you made it. If you have kids with you our check-in for them is simple and our team will walk you through every step so drop-off is easy and you can settle in knowing they're in great hands. We want you to feel at ease and connected from the moment you arrive for the service.

New to church?

Your first month at Futures is all about connection. It starts with a warm welcome at the door, a gift, and a coffee or a meal after the service on us. Our team will follow up with a personal call during the week, invite you for a coffee and then we would love to invite you to our next New Friends Dinner. We want you to meet people in your age and stage of life on Sundays but also help you find a Connect Group, where you'll meet others and truly experience what family at Futures feels like.

Just said yes to Jesus?

If someone makes a decision to accept Jesus into their life we will celebrate it! Someone will put a gift into your hand, and connect with you after the service about the decision you have made. We will walk alongside you as you take your next steps as a Christian.

Foundations: Our new christian classes are run through connect groups or are one on one moments spent with one of our great pastoral leaders.
Baptism: We run a baptism class at various times throughout the year where you can learn more about being baptised.

What to know before you come.

Getting here

Parking: Follow our Futures Church signs to free carparking close to Atelier Theatre at Cornerstone College.
Public transport: If travelling by bus, the closest bus stops are: Zone B Cornerstone College (1 min walk) and Zone A Cornerstone College on Adelaide Road. Other nearby stops include Stop 64 Hutchinson St (2 min walk).
Good to know: Kids Programs for children aged 1 - Grade 6 at school happen during our Sunday service. We also have a youth program that runs on Fridays night at 6:30pm during the school terms.
