Day Twenty-Two

Ezekiel  37:11-14

Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones represent the people of Israel. They are saying, ‘We have become old, dry bones—all hope is gone. Our nation is finished.’ 12 Therefore, prophesy to them and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I will open your graves of exile and cause you to rise again. Then I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 When this happens, O my people, you will know that I am the Lord. 14 I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live again and return home to your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken, and I have done what I said. Yes, the Lord has spoken!’ ”

This is the prophet Ezekiel prophesying hope into people who once lived in their promised land, who know what it’s like to possess something, but because they put other things before God in their lives, they found themselves being displaced from the promise and in “graves of exile”. They feel like dried up bones, with no life, no hope no breath, far away from the plan God had for them. I don’t know if you’ve ever felt like this in an area of your life but God wants you to know that even if you find yourself outside of his promise today, He hasn’t forgotten you, and His promise STILL STANDS! He wants to breathe new life into you, give you hope again, put His Spirit within you and return you to your land of promise. Return you to the place that you once called ‘home.’ Return you to a place where your hope is restored, where you can rest, be planted and be fruitful. I love the end of this passage: Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken, and I have done what I said. Yes, the Lord has spoken!’ ”

I want you to know today that God speaks over your situation, and once God speaks, even if we are wavering, He always keeps His WORD!

Blessings,
