Day Forty-One: Meant to be found

Andy Smith   -

He said to them, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.” (Mark 4:21-23)

One of my favorite past time games that I loved playing with my girls is “Hide-and-Seek.” As a dad, I loved hiding in places where I could be found. Why? Because I found joy in my daughters “finding” me. I always acted like I was shocked, but in reality, I was monitoring their ability to “find” me. If they couldn’t find me, I helped them. Why? Because I was training and refining my daughter’s skills to “seek.”

Jesus is teaching His disciples that He desires to reveal His Father’s will and plans to everyone who will seek Him – Or, hear Him – Or, get alone and listen for Him to speak. He isn’t hiding because He doesn’t want to share, He is hiding to be found. When you seek Jesus, you are looking and listening, valuing the moment when you catch a glimpse of His glory. Once you know that He will reward your pursuit with a revelation of His most intimate thoughts, you look forward to being the pursuer.

So, if you have difficulty hearing God speak, just know His thoughts are meant to be shared. He MEANS to share them with you. ALWAYS!

Blessings,
