Day Six`

Numbers 13:16

16 These are the names of the men Moses sent out to explore the land. (Moses called Hoshea son of Nun by the name Joshua.)

There is something very powerful when someone you look up to calls something out in you that completely changes how you, and others, view you forever. That is what Moses did for Joshua. (We have the power to do this for those we lead too) Moses saw in him a heart after God, I believe he also saw in him a fear of the expectations others had placed on him, and in a moment shifted the weight of that fear onto God and allowed him to change his perspective of who he was and what was expected of him. Today I want you to think about what others have “named” you that has actually become your identity. Maybe people have said that you are sensitive, shy, unconfident, scattered, too loud, too quiet, and too opinionated? Whatever it is, I believe that this decade God wants to change your name; he wants you to know that He wants to partner with you and take what others have maybe seen as a weakness and turn it into great strength. He wants to encourage you that it is completely possible for you, regardless of what others have said or still say about you, HE thinks you are capable of BOLD and COURAGEOUS ACTION.

Take some time today to reflect on what God’s word says about you, allow it to override completely what you believe about yourself and what others believe about you. Look in the mirror and call yourself by the name God calls you. Bold, courageous, favored, capable, strong, confident, a giant killer, a dealmaker, a business owner…

Blessings,
